Have you ever wondered what happened to the ASP student award winner that you heard present that wonderful talk, or that incredible poster? This year the education committee is sponsoring the first annual past student winner symposium to answer just that question. The symposium speakers will remind you what research they were doing when they won their award, and then enlighten us as to where they have gone, how the award helped their careers, and what type of work they are participating in now. This symposium will give an overview of the topics that were cutting edge through the last twenty years of ASP, ranging from the measurement of animal coloration to the allometry of primate hair; as well as highlighting professionals that were once awarded ASP’s top student award. Finally, this symposium will offer a unique opportunity to survey a variety of careers available for primatologists.
